Florian Kastenmeier (born June 28, 1997 in Regensburg ) is a German soccer goalkeeper who is under contract with Fortuna Düsseldorf . In addition, he completed an international match for the German U18 .
Career
society
Kastenmeier comes from the youth of SSV Jahn Regensburg . As a B-youth he joined FC Augsburg and played for them in the B and A-Junior Bundesliga . He was always the first choice in goal in both age groups and was in the second team's regional league squad for the first time in the 2014/15 season . He was firmly integrated into this in the summer of 2015 and alternated in goal with Ioannis Gelios and Flemming Niemann ; In 2016/17 he finished the season with Augsburg in 4th place.
In the 2017/18 season , the goalkeeper moved to VfB Stuttgart , where he was a regular goalkeeper in their regional league team from the preparatory phase. In spring 2019, after only three missed season games for Kastenmeier and VfB, relegation to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg followed .
The young goalkeeper then came to the Bundesliga club Fortuna Düsseldorf the following summer , where he received a contract valid until June 2022. After an injury to the first goalkeeper Zack Steffen , Kastenmeier, who had always been on the bench until then, was preferred to the older representatives Raphael Wolf , Michael Rensing and Tim Wiesner on the first match day of the second half of the season against Werder Bremen and was used for the first time in the top German division.
