Alfredo Morales (born May 12, 1990 in Berlin ) is a German - American football player with Peruvian roots. He will be used as a defender and will be under contract with Fortuna Düsseldorf from the 2018/19 season .

Morales had played in youth teams in the Berlin districts of Wedding and Pankow before he was hired by Hertha BSC in July 2000 for their youth department. In 2007 he won the soccer world championship held in Chile with the Poelchau Oberschule .

Hertha BSC

On November 8, 2008 he played his first senior game when he came on for Hertha BSC II in the fourth-class Regionalliga Nord in the 2-4 defeat in the away game against Hannover 96 II with a substitute for Ante Čović . Two years later he traveled to the summer training camp with the professionals for the first time. He made his debut on December 5, 2010 (15th matchday) in the second division game at TSV 1860 Munich , which was lost 0-1. In the 2011/2012 season he made his debut in the Bundesliga.

FC Ingolstadt 04

After Morales had not accepted a new contract offer from Hertha BSC, he moved to FC Ingolstadt 04 after his contract expired for the 2013/14 season , for which he played 32 of 34 league games and scored one goal. On April 11, 2014 (30th matchday) he scored his first competitive goal for FC Ingolstadt in the 1: 2 defeat in the home game against SC Paderborn 07 with the 1-0 goal in the fifth minute. At the end of the 2014/15 season , he rose with the team as a second division champion in the Bundesliga . He made his Bundesliga debut on August 15, 2015 (1st matchday) in a 1-0 win in the away game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 , for which he provided the template. He scored his first Bundesliga goal on April 23, 2016 (31st matchday) in a 2-2 draw in the home game against Hannover 96 with a 1-0 header in the tenth minute.

Fortuna Dusseldorf

On May 15, 2018, Fortuna Düsseldorf announced the signing of Morales with a contract until 2021.

National team

On January 3, 2011, Morales, who could have opted for the German or Peruvian national team, was nominated by national coach Jürgen Klinsmann in the United States' squad for the games against France and Slovenia . He made his national team debut on January 29, 2013 in a goalless draw in an international test match against Canada in Houston .
