Kenneth Kiprop Kipkemoi (born August 2, 1984 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner . His preferred routes are the 5000 meter run , the 10,000 meter run (track and road), half marathon and cross-country runs .

Career

In 2012 and 2016, Kipkemoi became the Kenyan champion over the 10,000 meter distance. At the international level, he became the African champion in 2012. With 26: 52.65 min. (Brussels 2012) he is 35th in the all-time world ranking in this discipline.

Kipkemoi has already broken the 60-minute mark in the half marathon several times. With his best time of 59:01 min. (Valencia 2014) he is 15th on the all-time half marathon leaderboard. In April 2018 he won the Rotterdam Marathon in 2:05:44 h with a personal best.

In February 2020, Kipkemoi was suspended from the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) on suspicion of doping with terbutaline .
