Kerrang! Awards 2009
The Kerrang! The 2009 Awards took place in London on August 3, 2009 and was hosted by Slipknot singer Corey Taylor and Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian . The award ceremony went into the twelfth round this year. The winners were selected by the readers via the Internet and by post, as well as by an expert jury.
Award winners and nominees
The US band Slipknot alone has been nominated six times for an award, twice in the Best Song category . The group won two awards. Metallica was nominated in 5 categories, of which the band only won one. For What It's Worth by Placebo was nominated in two categories (Best Single and Best Video), but Placebo did not win an award.
