Kirchstätt is a district of the town of Traunreut in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein . The hamlet with church is located in the middle of an extensive forest area and has only 25 inhabitants.

history

In 1345 the church in Kirchstätt was inaugurated in the middle of a clearing of the "Weitholz". It was a branch church of the parish incorporated into the Baumburg monastery in Traunwalchen . In 1808 the church was demolished in the course of secularization in Bavaria . From 1833 to 1834 the Kirchstätter church is rebuilt on the basis of a vow by the farmers in the area. Kirchstätt was at the time of the Duchy of Bavaria part of the main team Pierling . As part of the community education in Bavaria, it came with the municipality edict of 1818 for rural community Traunwalchen . The municipality of Traunwalchen is incorporated into the city of Traunreut on May 1, 1978 as part of the municipal reform.
