The Kirschbühl is 610.2  m above sea level. NHN high, wooded elevation of the Franconian Alb low mountain range in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen ( Bavaria ).

The Kirschbühl is located in the Altmühltal Nature Park near Freihardt in the north and Siebeneichhöfe in the southwest, two districts of Treuchtlingen . A little further away there are other districts of Treuchtlingen with Ober- and Unterheumödern in the east-northeast. The border with the Swabian district of Donau-Ries with the local community of Wolferstadt runs about 900 m west of the summit . Parts of the nature reserve protection zone in the Altmühltal nature park are located on the Kirschbühl ( CDDA no. 396115; designated 1995; 1632.9606  km² ). The Grottenhof forest area extends to the southeast .

East of Kirschbühl lies the Moselstein , in the south the Hausberg with the Kühberg , in the southwest the Uhlberg . The Rohrach flows to the north and the Hahnenkamm ridge extends beyond it .

Natural allocation

The Kirschbühl belongs in the natural spatial main unit group Franconian Alb (No. 08), in the main unit Southern Franconian Alb ( 082) and in the sub-unit Altmühlalb (082.2) to the natural area Obere Altmühlalb (082.22).
