Kirschweiler Fortress Nature Reserve (October 2013)

The Kirschweiler Fortress nature reserve is located in the Birkenfeld district in Rhineland-Palatinate and is part of the Hunsrück-Nahe National Park .

The 40.2 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection by ordinance of April 22, 1940 , extends northwest of the local community of Kirschweiler . It is located directly on the B 422, which runs on the northern edge of the area in the Idar Valley .
