Klappermühle (dialect: "glaw ɒ mǖl") was a district of the community Mitteleschenbach in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia . Since 1885 the place belongs to the parish village Mitteleschenbach within the community Mitteleschenbach.

geography

The wasteland has opened up as house no. 1 and 2 on the Klappermühlweg. It is located on the Altbach, which is a right tributary of the Erlbach . Approx. The Haselmühlweiher is 0.25 km to the northeast, and the Drudenbrünnlein is immediately to the southeast.

history

The place was first mentioned as "Swad (er) můl" in the Eichstätter Salbuch , which was created around 1300. The defining word is the Middle High German word "swateren" (= to rustle, rattle). The place belonged from the beginning to the Eichstättischen Amt Wernfels .

In 1732 it was mentioned in the Vetter'schen Oberamtsbeschreibung as "Klappermühl", which was subordinate to the Lords of Lentersheim and is said to have belonged to the Gunzenhausen caste office .

Towards the end of the 18th century, the rattle mill belonged to Mitteleschenbach. It had the manor Altenmuhr of the lords of Lentersheim as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Klappermühle received the number 90 and 91 of Mitteleschenbach when the house numbers were assigned. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach .

As part of the municipal edict of Klappermühle, assigned to the Mitteleschenbach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Mitteleschenbach, founded in 1810 .

The place remained Catholic even after the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Margareta (Windsbach) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination to St. Nikolaus (Mitteleschenbach) .
