Klaus Pelizaeus

Klaus Pelizaeus (born November 7, 1952 in Essen ) is a German composer , lyricist and hit producer .

Life and work

After attending high school in Essen-Werden and the diploma for Urban Studies Pelizaeus struck first enter the civil service, was Inspector General and officials for life. In 1980 he received an author's contract with Budde-Musikverlag in Berlin. In 1982, after exactly ten years as a civil servant, he resigned his civil servant status in order to accept an author's contract exclusively with GLOBAL in Munich. In the same year he was represented for the first time in the German preliminary decision for the Grand Prix Eurovision with the title Arktis Lady .

In 1983 Pelizaeus accepted a position as editor within the WAZ group , but intensified the writing activity. The then cover band Swinging Cocktails , which he founded and in which he participated, was renamed Eugen & Akkordmalocher for popular repertoire , then spent a few years on the road with the Lustige Musikanten - alongside Marianne and Michael , Maria and Margot Hellwig or Gottlieb Wendehals .

In the meantime, Pelizaeus recorded his own pieces as a producer. Titles (later successful) emerged like Barbados / I wish a morning kiss ( Playa Rouge ), Silence never helps / Your jeans on my leash ( Xandra Hag ) or I would rather take you / Welcome home ( Sally Carter ). In 1995 Klaus Pelizaeus gave up his editorial work and devoted himself entirely to creative work in the hit business.

On August 8, 1988 ( 8/8/88 ) he founded the Alibaba music publisher and on September 9, 1999 ( 9/9/99 ) the label "A la tete-Records".

More than 1000 songs with music and lyrics come from his pen, including hits for Roger Whittaker , Heino , Leonard , Tony Marshall , Lys Assia , Marion Maerz , Siw Malmkvist , Randolph Rose , Ela , Jürgen Drews , Benny Neyman , Die 3 Colonias , Alex Parker , Janis Nikos , Anne Karin , Tina Rainford , Halve Hahn , Andrea Held, Nina Puder , Peggy March , Nina Lizell , Daniel Reemer or Bert Beel . He wrote and produced an album each for Ted Herold , Xandra Hag , Oliver Hardt , Playa Rouge , Michael Kern , the Yellow Stone Company , Sally Carter or Eugen & Akkordmalocher. As a lyricist he has worked for Rendezvous , Looping, Oliver Thomas , Reiner Kirsten , Alpentrio Tirol , Rudy Giovannini , Angelina, Luisa and Lars Vegas, among others .

As a composer and lyricist, Pelizaeus was represented twice in the German preliminary round for the Grand Prix-d'Eurovision and four times as a lyricist in the national preliminary round for the Grand Prix of Folk Music .

He is a member of the board of trustees of the GEMA Social Fund (lyricists department), is a member of the evaluation committee for the evaluation process, a member of the GEMA works committee and the advisory board of the DTV (German Texts Association).

Klaus Pelizaeus is married, father of three and lives in Essen-Haarzopf .
