Today's Klein Hindenburg , also spelled Kleinhindenburg , could be identical to the Freisassenhof Alt-Hindenburg, which was mentioned in 1842 . Further mentions are 1871 Ackerhof Althindenburg with 10 inhabitants, 1885, 1895 Klein-Hindenburg , from 1905 only Klein Hindenburg .

As early as 1986, Klein Hindenburg was listed as a district, but the number of inhabitants was and will not be recorded by the municipality because the village is very small.
