Rosenhof is a district of the community Hohenberg-Krusemark in the district of Stendal , Saxony-Anhalt .

The Rosenhof estate is located 7 kilometers northeast of Hohenberg-Krusemark, 3 kilometers southwest of Sandau (Elbe) and directly on the Middle Elbe biosphere reserve on the Elbe in the Altmark .

Neighboring places are the deserted Käcklitz and the Büttnershof in the northwest, the landing stage of the motor and yaw ferry Sandau (Elbe) with the former Fährhof inn in the north, Osterholz in the south and Kirch-Polkritz and Schweinslust in the southwest.

history

In 1480 the Rosenhof was listed as tom Rosenhaue in a document for the first time. A witness named Clawes Pywerling , i.e. Claus Pieverling, came from the court. Further mentions are 1540 to rosenhoue and 1608 Drey Höfe are called the Rosennhöfe . In 1804 the aristocratic Rosenhof estate was parish off to Käcklitz. In 1842 it was said: The soil is fertile and particularly suitable for fruit growing, which is very popular . From 1885 the Käcklitz residential areas and the Fährkrug near Sandauerholz belonged to the Rosenhof estate.

In 1819 Friedrich Himburg had acquired the property, which was later leased. In 1945 the Rosenhof manor was expropriated. The manor house was demolished in 1945. The joint venture Osterholz-Rosenhof with an area of ​​994.6 hectares arose from the land reform.

Incorporations

On October 17, 1928, most of the Rosenhof manor district from the Osterburg district was merged with the Osterholz manor district to form a rural community of Osterholz with the exception of the Fährkruges, which was combined with the rural community of Sandauerholz . So Käcklitz came to Osterholz.

On January 1, 1969, the Osterholz community was incorporated into Altenzaun with the Rosenhof district . On January 1, 2009, the communities of Altenzaun and Hohenberg-Krusemark merged with their districts to form the new community community Hohenberg-Krusemark. The districts of Osterholz and Rosenhof of the former municipality of Altenzaun were not listed in the contract, but the associated land numbers from the cadastre, so that Osterholz and Rosenhof also became districts of Hohenberg-Krusemark.
