Klein Ellingen is a district of the community Hohenberg-Krusemark in the district of Stendal , Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

Klein Ellingen, a street village , is located about 2 kilometers southeast of Hohenberg-Krusemark and 15 kilometers southeast of Osterburg (Altmark) , and about 4 kilometers west of the Elbe in the Altmark .

To the northeast is the Altmark industrial and commercial park, which was created at the end of the 20th century from the construction site of the Stendal nuclear power plant .

history

The village of Ellinche is mentioned in 1334 , when Margrave Ludwig awarded the knight Zilling levies (income) to some Altmark villages. Further mentions are 1419 In deme dorpe to lutken Ellinghe , 1608 Lutken Ellinge and 1687 Lütken Ellingen . In 1745 a hereditary windmill is listed. A windmill stood northeast of the village until the beginning of the 20th century, where there is now a small wooded area.

Agriculture

During the land reform in 1945, the following were determined: 9 properties under 100 hectares had a total of 445 hectares, and a municipality owned 2 hectares. Two farms with a total of 178.2 hectares were expropriated and divided. Of this, 17.75 hectares went to the community. In 1948 16 full settlers each over 5 hectares and 18 small settlers each less than 5 hectares had acquired land from the land reform. In 1955, the first type III agricultural production cooperative, the LPG "Geschwister Scholl" , was established in Klein Ellingen .

prehistory

In 1892 the Arneburg pastor Kluge reported on his investigations into an undated group of burial mounds in a wooded area south of Klein Ellingen. It may have been destroyed by now.

Incorporations

On July 1, 1950, the communities of Klein Ellingen and Groß Ellingen from the Osterburg district merged to form the community of Ellingen. The two former communities became districts. On February 1, 1974, the community of Ellingen was incorporated into Hohenberg-Krusemark. This brought the two districts to the community of Hohenberg-Krusemark.
