Kolming , formerly also Kollming , is a group of the Munderfing municipality in Upper Austria ( Braunau am Inn district ). The village has 42 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).

geography

Kolming is located in the south of the municipality of Munderfing and in the south of the cadastral municipality of Achenlohe. Kolming is about 3.7 kilometers southeast of the center of the community and can be reached via the main road and Braunauer Straße . Neighboring villages are Parz in the north, Baumgarten in the northeast, Valentinhaft in the west, Au in the southwest and Heiligenstatt (municipality of Lengau ) in the southeast. There are extensive forest areas in the east.

In 2001, 15 buildings were counted for Kolming, with 13 buildings having a main residence and 15 apartments or 16 households. In Kolming there were three agricultural and forestry operations and one other place of work.

History and population

The village of Kolming was first mentioned in 1324 as the Cholomanno in the Passau land register . The place name is derived from the holy Koloman. At the beginning of the 19th century, the place consisted of a few buildings, which are now divided into the buildings Kolming 1, 2 and 3 (Staudinger, Schwaigerwirt and Hattinger). Only later was the Leikermosermühle built on Schwemmbach, which is now operated as a mill and sawmill.

In 1869, 19 people lived in five houses in Kolming. In 1910 there were 24 residents in five houses. All residents of the village were of the Catholic faith.
