The Koshi Rajmarg ( Nepali कोशी राजमार्ग ; English Koshi Highway ) is a highway in eastern Nepal , which connects the Dhankuta district with the southern Terai areas in Province No. 1 .

The 197 km long overland road leads north from the Indian border south of Biratnagar . The Koshi Rajmarg passes Duhabi-Bhaluwa . The Mahendra Rajmarg crosses the highway at Itahari . This then crosses the mountain ranges of the Front Himalayas . The Koshi Rajmarg runs through Dharan . Later the trunk road crosses the Arun River . Eventually it reaches the district capital Dhankuta and ends in Pakhribas . From there another trunk road leads northwest to the city of Diktel .
