Kovácsvágás is a Hungarian community in the county Sátoraljaújhely in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén .
Geographical location
Kovácsvágás is located in northern Hungary , 67 kilometers northeast of the Miskolc county seat and three kilometers south of the city of Pálháza . The neighboring municipality of Vágáshuta is four kilometers south.

The extensive forests, meadows and pastures in the area offer a habitat for some rare bird species. Sun can be found there black stork , eastern imperial eagle , serpent eagle , spotted eagle , golden eagle , honey buzzard , Ural owl , corncrake , gray-headed woodpecker , middle spotted woodpecker and white-backed woodpecker .
