Vágáshuta ( Slovak Vágašská Huta ) is a Hungarian municipality in the Sátoraljaújhely district in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county .
Geographical location
Vágáshuta is located in northern Hungary , 66 kilometers northeast of the Miskolc county seat . The neighboring municipality of Kovácsvágás is four kilometers and the nearest town Pálháza is six and a half kilometers northwest of Vágáshuta.

The wooded area around the community provides a habitat for some rare bird species. So there find the black stork , honey buzzard , eastern imperial eagle , serpent eagle , spotted eagle , golden eagle , corncrake , Ural owl , eagle owl , gray-headed woodpecker , middle spotted woodpecker and white-backed woodpecker .
