Füzér is a municipality in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county . One of the most famous castle ruins in Hungary is located in the local area .
Geographical location
Füzér is located in northeastern Hungary, three kilometers south of the border with Slovakia , 95 km from the Miskolc county seat and 30 km from Košice (seat of the historical Abaúj county), in the Upper Hegyköz, a valley in the Zemplín Mountains. Neighboring communities are Pusztafalu 2 km, Füzérkomlós 3 km, Filkeháza 4 km and Hollóháza 6 km. The nearest towns Pálháza 7 km and Sátoraljaújhely are 9 and 26 km away from Füzér.
