The Krauseco Machine Tools GmbH , formerly Tool Maschinenfabrik Ernst Krause & Co. , is an Austrian engineering works and was a manufacturer of motor vehicles involved. Today Krauseco Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH designs, manufactures and assembles standardized and special machine tools for the machining of workpieces of the entire automotive drive train .

Company history

The company was founded in 1905 by Ernst Krause in Vienna to manufacture high-quality precision machine tools. Production of cargo tricycles began in the spring of 1926. The brand name was initially Krauseco . In March 1929, the company took over all the existing components from Monos Fahrzeug AG , which had also been manufacturing cargo tricycles at Osterleitengasse 5 in the 19th district of Vienna since 1924, using DKW and JAP engines. In addition, the repair of the still running Monos vehicles was taken over. The brand name was changed to mono . The Motor Import Company Lischka, Wiesenthal & Co. from Vienna took over the distribution . Motor vehicle production ended in 1939.

In 1994 the company merged with Mauser-Werke Oberndorf Maschinenbau GmbH to form a group of companies.

The company manufactured cargo tricycles. The single wheel was in the back. The first model was the K 1 . This model had a profile frame. A built-in engine from JAP with either 500 cm³ or 600 cm³ displacement provided the drive . The K 2 followed in 1930 and the K 3 in 1934 , both with a central tubular frame. From 1937 4 own engines provided the drive in the K.
