Krina , formerly Crina, is a district of the municipality Muldestausee in the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld in Saxony-Anhalt .

Krina is located between Leipzig and Lutherstadt Wittenberg in the Dübener Heide nature reserve .

history

Krina was first mentioned in a document in 1530. The place belonged to the Electoral Saxon Office Bitterfeld until 1815 . The decisions of the Congress of Vienna he came to Prussia and in 1816 the district Bitterfeld in the administrative district of Merseburg of the Province of Saxony assigned to which he belonged until 1944th

From July 25, 1952 to October 2, 1990, Krina belonged to the Halle district of the GDR.

Until the new formation of the unified community Muldestausee on January 1, 2010, Krina was an independent community in the administrative community Muldestausee-Painbach . The last mayor of Krina was Bernd Friebel.

Two graves in the cemetery commemorate a Pole and a Soviet citizen who were deported to Germany during the Second World War and were victims of forced labor .
