The Krumm is a 12 to 13 km long river on the edge of the Swabian Alb in central Baden-Württemberg , which flows from the right and east-northeast in Eislingen in the district of Göppingen into the Fils running to the west .

course

The Krumm rises at the southern foot of the Rechberg east of the Rechberger Fuchshof , from where it initially flows west-south-west to the Jackenhof of the municipality of Ottenbach, where it changes to south-south-west, flowing through Ottenbach and Krummwälden , and immediately afterwards with the inclusion of the Bärenbach in its west-south-west direction of flow change and after crossing Eislingen it flows into the Fils itself . The Eislinger hamlet Krummwälden, which in earlier times was only called "Welden", has for some time also had that of the river in its name in order to avoid ambiguity in the place name.

Catchment area

The Krumm drains 30.0 km² on the middle Albtrauf southwest of the Fils. Its catchment area has roughly the shape of a parallelogram with a longer diagonal from northeast to southwest of about 10 km, perpendicular to it the maximum width reaches a little over 5 km. Its blunt northwest corner lies on the Hohenstaufen ( 684.1 m above sea level ), the pointed northeast corner  on the Rechberg ( 707.9  m above sea level ), the blunt southeast corner at an unnamed altitude east above the Salacher Kapfhöfen ( 564.6  m) above sea level ), the pointed southwest at the mouth (below 330  m above sea level ). The highest point is on the summit of the Rechberg .

Beyond the well-developed northern watershed between Hohenstaufen and Rechberg , the left Rems tributaries Beutenbach , Tannbach and Tiefenbach compete one after the other . On the eastern, also striking (" Rehgebirge ") it is briefly the Waldstetter Bach at Rechberg , which also reaches the Rems via the Josefsbach , and then to the southeast corner of the Reichenbach , which drains like all other competitors to the Fils . At this corner, the Reichenbach- Vorfluter Lauter itself is a short neighbor, in the whole rest of the south and the southwest the Fils itself. In the northwest the border runs towards the catchment area of the Marbach .

Individual evidence

  1. ↑ Source branch after the polygon on LUBW-FG10, altitude according to the contour line image on the geodata viewer. According to the map, on the forest slope northwest of the Ödengehren residential area, there is a branched upper course two to three times as long along both branches with noticeably higher springs, the higher one is about 555  m above sea level. NN , and which flows into the sewage treatment plant.
  2. According to the contour line image on the geodata viewer.
  3. According to LUBW-FG10 (data record entry).
  4. Sum of the sub-catchment areas according to LUBW-GEZG (data record entries).
  5. Measured on the geodata viewer.
  6. Length according to LUBW-FG10 by measuring both branches corrected to the longer one from Etzberg.
  7. Corrected with stationing data according to LUBW-FG10 for the longer source branch called Bärenbach .
