László Imre Kish (born March 24, 1957 in Basel ) is a Swiss actor , director and communication trainer .

Life

László I. Kish, Swiss of Hungarian descent, attended the Realgymnasium Basel from 1968 , which he graduated with the Matura in 1977 . In the following two years he studied German, English and art history at the University of Basel . During this time he made his first stage experience with the English-speaking company "Gey Beggars". From 1979 Kish attended the Zurich Acting Academy , from which he graduated in 1982 with a diploma. At the same time he took singing lessons from Brigitte Spoerndli and acting courses from John Costopoulos and Walther Lott. From 1982 to 1984 he was engaged at the Schauspielhaus Zürich and from 1983 to 1986 at the Schauspiel Köln .

Kish has been working as a freelance actor and writer since 1986. He first appeared as a director in 1993 with the short film Goosebumps . This directorial work earned him an award with the young leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival in 1994 . In 1993, Kish founded the production company "Hearts & Brain Unlimited". As an actor he can be seen many times in television productions and television series such as Tatort and Velvet and Silk .

2006 Kish was accepted into the German Film Academy . In addition to his mother tongues German and Swiss German, Kish also speaks English, French, Italian and Hungarian.

Since 2009, Kish has also been working as a coach and communication trainer for appearance and media skills.

Private

Since 1990 Kish has been married to the German author and actress Ulrike Bliefert . The two have a daughter born in 1981, the actress and film scholar Anna Luise Kiss . Kish has had his residence in Basel and Berlin since 2002.
