LaMont McIntosh (born July 1, 1982 in Columbia , South Carolina ) is an American basketball player . After his studies and a brief engagement in the World Basketball Association (WBA), McIntosh has been playing as a professional in Europe since 2004, including three years with the Artland Dragons in the German basketball league from 2006 to 2009. McIntosh played again for the 2012/13 season in the Bundesliga, this time for the s.Oliver Baskets from Würzburg .

During his studies at Georgia State University , McIntosh played for the Panthers college team between 2000 and 2004 in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), at that time in the Atlantic Sun Conference . In 2001 and 2002 the championship title of this conference was defended and in 2001 they qualified for the national finals , only for the second time in the history of the Panthers . Here one moved into the second round, in which one was defeated by the later Final Four participant Terrapins of the University of Maryland . After completing his studies, McIntosh had a short-term engagement in the WBA with the Southern Crescent Lightning from his native US state Georgia , where he also went to school. The Lightning , for which Clay Tucker also played, won the debut season by beating Jackson Rage in the final . The later Bundesliga professionals Marcus Taylor with 20 and Derrick Allen with 19 points were top scorers for the champion in the final.

For the beginning of the 2004/05 season in Europe, McIntosh moved to the Scottish Rocks in the British Basketball League . After one season he moved to the mainland to the Belgian club from Pepinster . Another season later, the German club Artland Dragons signed him. With the Dragons, he was surprisingly runner-up and runner-up in the play-offs in the 2006/07 season after narrowly moving into the eighth main round place . One season they missed the return to the championship finals after a good second main round place, but they reached the cup final again and won the first national title for the club there. In his third season with the German club under the new coach Thorsten Leibenath , who had also worked for the Scottish Rocks before, but after McIntosh's time, the play-offs were just missed.

For the 2009/10 season, McIntosh moved to the Ukraine for BK Halitschina in Lemberg . For the 2010/11 season he then signed a contract with the Greek A1 Ethniki with Panellinios, who at that time moved their headquarters from Athens to Lamia . Without having played a championship game, McIntosh moved to league rivals Enosi Kalathosfairisis in Kavala . In the 2011/12 season, McIntosh played in the Polska Liga Koszykówki in Koszalin at AZS. He returned to the German Bundesliga for the 2012/13 season and signed a contract with s.Oliver Baskets.

McIntosh did not receive a new contract in Würzburg for the 2013/2014 season and initially did not join a new team due to injuries. In January 2014 he finally returned to the floor and signed a contract with BG Karlsruhe from Pro A until the end of the season .
