The 80th La Flèche Wallonne 2016 was a Belgian one-day race with start in Marche-en-Famenne and finish on the wall of Huy in Huy in the Wallonia region . It took place on Wednesday , April 20, 2016 . The bike race is part of the UCI WorldTour 2016 and was the twelfth of a total of 28 races in the series.

The Spaniard Alejandro Valverde ( Movistar Team ) won the race for the third time in a row. He celebrated his first victory in the Walloon Arrow ten years ago . With a total of four victories, he is now the sole record winner at Flèche Wallonne .

Julian Alaphilippe and his teammate Daniel Martin from the Etixx-Quick Step team completed the podium . Alaphilippe took second place last year.
