The 70th Tour de Romandie 2016 was a Swiss road bike race in Romandie / Western Switzerland . The stage race took place from April 26th to May 1st, 2016 and included a prologue and five stages. It was part of the 2016 UCI WorldTour cycle race and was the fourteenth of a total of 28 races in the series.

The first stage started in Mathod due to bad weather , but ended in Moudon anyway . This stage then had a length of 100.5 km .
