Labuništa ( Macedonian Лабуништа , Albanian  Llabunishti , Turkish Labunişta ) is a village in the municipality of Struga in southwestern North Macedonia . The municipality capital Struga is about eleven kilometers southeast (beeline). Neighboring towns are Boroec in the north, Tašmaruništa in the east and Podgorci in the south . Labuništa is one of the main settlements of the Torbeschen in the Struga region and by far the largest village in the Struga municipality. The village currently has around 11,000 inhabitants with the diaspora , which makes it one of the largest villages in North Macedonia.

The village formed an independent municipality with the surrounding villages until 2004, but was joined to the municipality of Struga with the local government reform that year. The coat of arms shown above on the right belonged to this municipality, but has not been of any importance since 2004.

In the case of many Macedonian-speaking residents, it is also very often the case that they profess to be Albanians in terms of ethnicity, but have no or only little command of Albanian, as there were no schools in the villages of this area during communist times Albanian was taught.
