Lake Lorraine is a census-designated place (CDP) in Okaloosa County in the US state of Florida with 7010 inhabitants (as of 2010).
geography
Lake Lorraine is bordered by the city of Shalimar to the west and by Choctawhatchee Bay to the south and east . The CDP is about 35 km south of Crestview and about 70 km east of Pensacola . Lake Lorraine is touched by Florida State Road 85 .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 7,010 inhabitants were distributed over 3,224 households. The population density was 1322.6 inh / km². 78.8% of the population identified themselves as whites, 9.0% as African American , 0.5% as Indians and 3.8% as Asian Americans . 2.6% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 5.4% to several ethnic groups. 7.9% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 28.8% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 28.8% of all households. 66.6% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.37 people and the average family size was 2.82 people.
