Cinco Bayou is a city in Okaloosa County in the US state of Florida with 383 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Cinco Bayou is directly adjacent to the city of Fort Walton Beach and Choctawhatchee Bay . The city is about 40 km south of Crestview and about 80 km east of Pensacola .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 383 inhabitants were distributed over 229 households. The population density was 766.0 inh / km². 78.6% of the population identified themselves as whites, 9.7% as African American and 5.5% as Asian Americans . 3.7% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.6% to several ethnic groups. 6.0% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 14.5% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 29.9% of all households. 40.7% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring). The average household size was 1.73 people and the average family size was 2.42 people.

13.3% of the population were younger than 20 years, 30.5% were 20 to 39 years old, 26.9% were 40 to 59 years old, and 29.3% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 44 years. 52.7% of the population were male and 47.3% were female.

The median annual income was $ 48,929, with 31.3% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 96.88% of the population and 3.13% spoke Spanish .
