Lana Jean Clarkson (born April 5, 1962 in Long Beach , California - † February 3, 2003 in Alhambra , California) was an American actress .

Life

Clarkson grew up in various cities in California because her family moved frequently. After moving to Los Angeles , she began a modeling career at the age of 18 . Soon she was booked for various modeling jobs and was also in front of the camera for smaller film and television productions.

In the USA, her face became known through television commercials for Mercedes-Benz , Nike , Mattel and Anheuser-Busch , among others . She starred in television series such as Knight Rider and The A-Team . Clarkson was considered a B-movie actress, although she appeared in a few larger film productions, in which she was always cast in supporting roles. On February 3, 2003, an emergency call from Spector's chauffeur called the police to his house, where the actress was killed by a revolver bullet in the mouth. The chauffeur quoted Spector as saying "I think I killed someone", but Spector spoke of an "accidental suicide" and was initially released on bail of $ 1 million. Witnesses at the main hearing on March 26, 2009 included five women who testified that Spector had threatened them with a firearm up to 30 years ago.
