The State Horticultural Show Würzburg 1990 was a Bavarian state horticultural show that took place from April 27 to October 21, 1990 in the Lower Franconian city of Würzburg .
The aim of the garden show was to connect the Main meadows with the Marienberg in the area in front of the fortress hill of the Marienberg Fortress and thus to maintain a continuation of the glacis facilities (ring park) west of the Main over the moats.
The area was characterized by characteristic wall walls and species-rich wild herbaceous plantations . The route was laid out in such a way that visitors could find relaxation, garden art and enjoyment of nature.
The model allotment garden set up in 1990 is used and appreciated by many Würzburg citizens today and is open to the public.
For years in early summer, the area has been used by the “Spring International”, an event organized by the Würzburg International Societies, as a backdrop for the presentation of their partner countries and cities.
The Würzburg State Horticultural Show in 1990 was the state horticultural show in Bavaria with the highest number of visitors to date, with 2.5 million visitors.
