The provincial government of Pröll VI has formed the Lower Austrian provincial government since the state elections in Lower Austria in 2013 . At the constituent meeting on April 24, 2013 Erwin Pröll was again elected Governor of Lower Austria and sworn in. Due to the proportional representation system, there are six representatives from the ÖVP, two from the SPÖ and one from Team Stronach in the state government. After her resignation in April 2015, Tillmann Fuchs, MBA, was nominated from the Frank list , which has since split off from the Stronach team , and elected and sworn in by the state parliament in May 2015.

Erwin Pröll resigned as governor on April 19, 2017. Johanna Mikl-Leitner was sworn in as governor. State Councilor Ludwig Schleritzko took over the finance department, Stephan Pernkopf was her deputy. The state government Pröll VI merged with these personnel changes in the state government Mikl-Leitner.
