State government Pröll V
The state government Proell V formed by the federal election low Austria 2008 to the state election in Lower Austria in 2013 the Lower Austrian Government . At the constituent meeting on April 11, 2008, Erwin Pröll was re-elected Governor of Lower Austria and sworn in. Due to the proportional representation system, there are six representatives from the ÖVP, two from the SPÖ and one from the FPÖ in the state government.
The first change in the composition of the government concerned the office of health councilor. After Regional Councilor Gabriele Heinisch-Hosek had been appointed to the Federal Government Faymann I , Karin Scheele, Member of the European Parliament, was elected as her successor on December 11, 2008.
On February 18, 2009 it was announced that the regional councilors Ernest Gabmann and Josef Plank were resigning prematurely. Gabmann switched to the board of directors of Vienna Airport and Plank switched to the private sector. The next day the two new members of the government, Stephan Pernkopf and Johann Heuras, were announced, and some resort raids were carried out. Wolfgang Sobotka became the new deputy governor and Petra Bohuslav switched to business.
After the previous regional councilor Johanna Mikl-Leitner had been appointed Minister of the Interior, Barbara Schwarz, until then mayor of Dürnstein , was elected to her successor as regional councilor on April 28, 2011 . At the same time, Johann Heuras resigned from the state government and took over the office of second president of the state parliament. His successor was the previous mayor of Poysdorf and member of the state parliament, Karl Wilfing.
