District Court of Hungen
The Hungen District Court was a Hessian court with its seat in Hungen from 1879 to 1934 .
history
founding
The district court of Hungen was founded on October 1, 1879 . The occasion was the Courts Constitution Act of 1877, which standardized the court system in the German Empire and has now also been implemented in the Grand Duchy of Hesse . Functionally it replaced the Hungen District Court, which was dissolved at the same time . The new district court was assigned to the district of the also newly established district court of Giessen .
Further development
With effect from January 1, 1882, the communities of Bettenhausen and Langsdorf were assigned to the Lich District Court and the community of Villingen to the Laubach District Court .
The End
On June 1, 1934, the district court of Hungen was dissolved and the local jurisdiction for the municipalities from its district was distributed to the surrounding district courts (see overview).
