Background information

"Father"

Stromberg often refers to himself as "dad" in both the series and the film.

Use in film

Stromberg and his department go to the company party in Botzenburg (fictional location) due to the 50th anniversary of Capitol Versicherung AG . The excursion is marked by a power struggle between Stromberg and his colleague Ernie . A short time after arriving at the hotel, Stromberg attracts negative attention through racist and sexist comments . As a result, in the power struggle with Ernie, he initially falls behind with the personnel director. However, that changes as he shows off his entertainer skills. He saves the boring gala evening by presenting a self-made satirical film about the Capitol and quickly composing and performing the song Lass das Papamachen with solo entertainer Günni (played by Carsten Mayer ) . The HR director was so enthusiastic about Stromberg that he preferred him to Ernie and offered him a position at headquarters.
