Laven ( Low German Laven ) is the smallest village in the unified municipality of Schiffdorf in the Lower Saxony district of Cuxhaven .

history

The village to the north of the Geeste belongs to the Spaden parish . In the past the village was in the Börde Debstedt and around 1768 belonged to the Bederkesa office . During the French era around 1810, Laven was part of the Bremerlehe municipality. From 1852 to 1885 the village belonged to the Lehe office and then to the districts of Lehe (1885-1932), Wesermünde (1932-1974) and Cuxhaven (since 1977). The rural community of Laven was formed in 1840 and the district of the same name in 1876.

The local home attendant is Werner Kamjunke.

Incorporations

In the course of the regional reform in Lower Saxony , which took place on March 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality of Laven was incorporated into the unified municipality of Schiffdorf.
