Leonardo Fabiano da Silva e Silva , called Leonardo Silva , (born June 22, 1979 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian football player .

He started his career in the youth team of America FC from Rio de Janeiro . Only towards the end of his career did he see greater success. With the Cruzeiro EC from Belo Horizonte , Leonardo Silva played in the final of the Copa Libertadores 2009 , but lost to the Estudiantes de La Plata from Argentina . But he was able to secure this title in 2013, now working for Atletico Mineiro, Cruzeiro's local rival.

In the national team in 2012 he was once appointed to the Superclásico de las Américas against the selection of Argentina. He was on the reserve bench in the second leg, but was not used.
