Leopold Nenninger
Leopold Nenninger (born October 27, 1880 in Osterburken , † April 10, 1970 in Munich ) was a German organ builder .
life and work
Nenninger was a student of Schlimbach in Würzburg and of Franz Borgias Maerz . After Maerz's death, he went into business for himself in 1910 together with Albert Moser ( Nenninger & Moser ). The first major work, the organ by St. Margaret in Munich , completed in 1915 , was of groundbreaking importance in the context of the Alsatian organ reform . After the First World War , he separated from Moser and ran the business independently.
In 1952 his son Guido Nenninger took over the business and continued to run it.
