The Staller workshop in Grafing b. Munich

Anton Staller (born September 23, 1923 in Neuötting ; † February 6, 2008 in Grafing near Munich ) was a German organ builder .

Live and act

Staller learned organ building at the Siemann company . During the Second World War (the book dedicated to him "Das Boot U 188" reports on it) and the ensuing imprisonment, he was in East Friesland, where he got to know the historical organs. In 1956 he started his own business in Bavaria. In total, he built over 100 organs. At first he built organs with a cone chest , from 1968 only with a slider chest . In 1996 he handed over the business to his grandson Andreas Lechner.
