history
Until the church is planted
Rechtmehring Mehring was first mentioned in writing as Moringa in 803 and belonged to the Free Imperial County of Haag from 1245 to 1804 . The originally Romanesque church was a branch of the parish of Kirchdorf and since 1380 an independent parish under the patronage of the county of Haag. In the Middle Ages until 1804, Rechtmehring was called "Amt Mehring" and was a quarter of the 300 km² territory of the Free County of Hague. The place of execution of the county as well as the place of origin of some high judges of the county was in the area of Rechtmehring. In 1567 a sideline of the Bavarian Wittelsbach family was enfeoffed by the Kaiser with the imperial fief of the Free County of Haag .
The place belonged to the Rentamt München and the district court Haag of the Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

coat of arms
Blazon : “In blue a curled, shortened silver tip, inside a silver bridled red horse head; top right the silver bend of a bishop's staff, left a golden crescent moon. "
In the top, reference is made to the fact that the entire municipality belongs to the Free County of Haag, this is shown by the red horse's head, bridled in silver. At the top in front a silver bend of a bishop's staff can be seen, it is supposed to stand for Saint Korbinian, the patron saint of the parish church in Rechtmehring. The golden crescent moon at the back right was taken from the coat of arms of the Mondsee monastery, it was included in the new coat of arms in memory of the first mention of Mehring in 803, because Mondsee had owned some real estate in Rechtmehring at that time. The colors red and silver in the coat of arms also have a deeper meaning, they indicate the centuries-old relationship with the diocese of Regensburg. On the other hand, these were also the colors of the County of Hague, the coat of arms can be seen in the church in the vault.
The coat of arms was designed in 1979 by the heraldist Heinz C. Bessling from Hechendorf.
