Oberbergkirchen is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Mühldorf am Inn and the seat of the Oberbergkirchen administrative community with the other member municipalities of Lohkirchen , Schönberg and Zangberg .

Geographical location
Oberbergkirchen is located in the region of southeast Upper Bavaria in the tertiary hill country north of the Isental valley , the Rott rises in the neighboring municipality of Wurmsham . The village is located about 15 km northwest of the district town of Mühldorf , twelve kilometers southwest of Neumarkt-Sankt Veit and 22 km east of Dorfen . In Ampfing , eight kilometers away, there is a connection to the Munich-Mühldorf railway operated by the Südostbayernbahn .

history
Until the church is planted
Oberbergkirchen was first mentioned in 788 in the Notitia Arnonis . The place belonged to the Landshut Rent Office and the Neumarkt Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . The Countess von der Wahl owned an open Hofmark here around 1800 . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

On January 1, 1975, the previously independent municipality Irl was incorporated.

Attractions
Place Oberbergkirchen with the parish church of St. Bartholomä, Bruder-Konrad-Kapelle, Vierseithof with inn and old schoolhouse (today's town hall), Aubenham tertiary world. The parish church, a late Gothic brick building, received its onion dome either in 1723 during a major renovation or at the latest in 1770 after a lightning strike had caused great damage. The interior was redesigned in Baroque style, and the glass paintings were created around 1908.
Next to the parish church is the late Gothic little church, consecrated by Bishop Berthold Pürstinger von Chiemsee in 1518. It received its onion dome only in 1733. After a restoration between 1936 and 1938, it was consecrated to brother Konrad von Parzham , who was canonized in 1934 .
