Jettenbach is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Mühldorf am Inn . The parish village of the same name is the main town of the community.

geography

Geographical location

Jettenbach is located in the southeastern Upper Bavaria region in the foothills of the Alps in the Inn valley . The village is located around 20 km northeast of Wasserburg , 18 km southwest of the district town of Mühldorf and only 7 km from Waldkraiburg .

Jettenbach has a direct connection to the railway network of the Südostbayernbahn . The Inn Canal begins at the Jettenbacher Wehr and feeds the Töging power station.

history

Until the church is planted

Jettenbach in Upper Bavaria belonged to the Counts Toerring-Jettenbach . The place was part of the Electorate of Bavaria and formed a closed Hofmark , the seat of which was Jettenbach Castle . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria, today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

19th century

With the opening of the Rosenheim – Mühldorf railway line , Jettenbach was connected to the railway network on May 1, 1876.

Between 1988 and 2018, the population fell from 734 to 718 by 16 inhabitants or 2.2%.

Of the 2,014 on March 16 elected eight Gemeinderät * inside are three women. The separately elected mayor is an additional member of the council

Mayor is Maria Maier (Jettenbacher voter community). It was elected on June 25, 2017 with 90.2 percent of the valid votes and a voter turnout of 50.6 percent.

Coat of arms history: The three roses come from the coat of arms of the Upper Bavarian aristocratic house of Toerring , who still own land in the town and the surrounding area and have been of great importance for Jettenbach throughout history. The flaming sword refers to St. Michael, who is the patron of one of the churches in the parish area. The coat of arms has been used since 1974 by resolution of the municipal council and the approval of the government of Upper Bavaria.

In 2017, there were no employees subject to social insurance contributions at work in the fields of agriculture and forestry, manufacturing, and trade and transport. Public and private service providers at the workplace employed eleven employees subject to social insurance contributions. There were a total of 287 employees subject to social security contributions at the place of residence. There were no companies in the manufacturing industry (as well as mining and quarrying of stone and earth) or in the main construction industry. In 2016, there were also 14 farms with a total of 358 hectares of utilized agricultural area. 264 hectares of which were arable land.

Jettenbach has a stop on the Rosenheim-Mühldorf railway line .
