Charles IV handed it over to his bailiff at Karlskrone Castle , Oldřich von Letkov. After 1412 Oldřich sold the seat to the Pilsen citizen Korandov, and after further sales, the Ledkov Fortress was bequeathed to the St. Bartholomew Church in Pilsen in 1505. The associated village was described as desolate a year later. The place was settled again in the 17th century, and several farmhouses still date from this time.
After the end of patrimonial Letkov became an independent parish in 1850. After 1960, Letkov was incorporated into Pilsen as part of the creation of "Greater Pilsen" and later became part of Starý Plzenec as a district . The village has been independent again since 1989.
