The hamlet of Lina is part of the town of Neustadt an der Donau in the Kelheim district in Lower Bavaria . Lina belongs to the Hallertau .

The place is at the highest point in the southern slope of the Danube valley .

From Lina there is a beautiful view of the city of Neustadt an der Donau, the plains of the Danube Valley and the heights of the beginning Jura north of the Danube . The B 16 runs south of the village . This is followed by the Hallertau hill country with the eastern part of the Dürnbuch forest .

Regensburg is about 45 km to the east and Ingolstadt 30 km to the west. Munich is about 90 km south of the town.

history

There is evidence that the hamlet already existed in the early 13th century. It is documented as "Villa Linden". From the year 1220, a tenure dispute between "Henricus Decanus de Gegkingen", ie the parish of Bad Gögging and the Weltenburg monastery, is mentioned in a document. The towns of Deisenhofen , Lina, Mauern , Sittling , Trepfenau, Ulrain, Welschenbach and Wöhr were subject to a fee.

The places Oberulrain and Niederulrain as well as the hamlet Lina originally formed the common political municipality of Oberulrain . This was incorporated into the city of Neustadt an der Donau on May 1, 1978 as part of a municipal area reform.

Economy and Infrastructure

The hamlet, which consists of four properties, is exclusively agricultural and forestry. The focus here is on hop growing .
