This list shows the places in Herford . For a city of this size, there are a relatively large number of squares in Herford, East Westphalia , especially since there are 13 squares in the city center within the ramparts with the old town , new town and Radewig . The two maps below show the city without the incorporations from 1969. On the left map, the city center is shown in red, on the right the city districts are shown, in which almost all the squares are located.

Amselplatz | Neustädter Feldmark | Amselplatz and the streets in the area of Lübberlindenweg were built in the 1950s. Augustinerplatz | Old town | In March 2018, Augustinerplatz was opened in front of the old town center. It was named after the Augustinian monastery that was there until 1886. After the remains of the north wall of the former monastery church were found during the construction work for the old town center and the square in front of it, a discussion began about the name of the square. The names "Klosterplatz", "Augustinerklosterplatz" and "Augustinerplatz" were available. Käthe-Elsbach-Platz | Radewiger Feldmark | The square opposite the Marta Museum has been reminiscent of Käthe Elsbach (married Maass) since September 2006. She came from the Jewish industrialist family who ran Europe's largest linen factory in what is now the Elsbachhaus in the 1920s . It was named after the Masonic lodge "Zur Roten Erde", which has been based in the lodge house on the west side of the square since 1909. The south and east sides are also built on. Radewiger Kurpark | Radewiger Feldmark | In 1958, an almost circular fallow area within the street “Loop” east of the railway area in the confluence area Engerstraße, Bünder Straße, Diebrocker Straße and Niederstraße was planted with lawn and flowers, creating a spa park-like facility. The area was then given the unofficial name "Radewiger Kurpark". Inside the green area was a “duck fountain” created by the sculptor Günter Laurien, who lived in Herford from 1954 to 1963. Due to the bronze ducks being stolen several times, the city later dismantled the fountain. Until 1952, the construction of a large filling station was planned on the site. | loop | ||
