The list of cities in Bhutan provides an overview of the population of the larger cities and towns in the South Asian state of Bhutan .
By far the largest agglomeration in Bhutan is Thimphu with a population of 138,736 ( 2017 census ). This means that 22 percent of the country's people live in the capital region.
The table below lists the largest cities and towns in the country, the results of the May 31, 2005 and May 30, 2017 censuses, and the district ( Dzongkhag ) to which the city belongs. The population figures refer to the actual city without the suburbs.
