Life
After completing his apprenticeship as a wood sculptor in Kempten, Hans Wachter completed further training as a stone sculptor in Switzerland . From 1954 to 1961 he studied as a master student with Josef Henselmann at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . After that, Wachter took over the workshop of his teacher Joser Mayr in 1961 and worked as a freelance artist in Kempten for more than four decades.

The most important works by Wachter are located in southern Germany and Berlin , but also in Frankfurt am Main and Belmont in California / USA.
