Map of Liberia

The list of cities in Liberia provides an overview of the population development in the larger cities of the West African state of Liberia .

By far the largest agglomeration in Liberia is Monrovia with a population of 1,690,270 (as of January 1, 2008). This means that around half of the country's population is concentrated in the capital region.

According to a determination made by the Liberian government in the 1960s, all places in Liberia with a population of over 1000 have the administrative status of a city, regardless of the infrastructure found.

The following table contains all cities with more than 2000 inhabitants and the results of the population censuses (VZ) of February 1, 1974 and March 21, 2008. The region to which the city belongs is also listed. The population figures refer to the actual city without the suburbs.
