This is a list of cities in Mozambique .
By far the largest agglomeration in Mozambique is Maputo with a population of 2,219,500 (as of 2016). This means that ten percent of the country's population is concentrated in the capital region.
The table below shows the cities with a population of over 50,000, the results of the census of August 1, 1980, August 1, 1997, September 16, 2007 and August 1, 2017, and the administrative unit ( province ) to which the city belongs , listed. The city ( Cidade ) Maputo is independent and does not belong to any province. The population figures refer to the actual city without the suburbs.
