Today's church was built from 1893–1895 according to plans by Johann Maria Reiter instead of a Baroque predecessor built between 1708–1710. It is a richly structured, basilical long building in romanized forms with a slightly drawn-in, staggered choir with a 5/8 end . The high tower from the previous buildings connects to the north side and the chapel-like sacristy annex to the south side . The three-aisled interior is structured with mighty pillars and has a uniform historicist interior. The ceiling paintings were created by Emil Kerle in 1910–1912 .

The funeral hall was built on its west side in 1980. The crucifixion group on the choir wall of the church was  created by Karl Fürhapter in 1852 .
