The parish church hll. Petrus und Paulus , a former pilgrimage church in an elevated position in the east of the village, is an early Gothic building from the 13th century, which was converted to Baroque style in the 17th century . The simple nave has pointed arched windows . A squat roof turret with acoustic windows and pointed helmet rises between the nave and the detached choir . In the south there is a baroque sacristy extension from the 17th century and in the west a vestibule from the mid-19th century.

The Christkönigkirche is a simple and sober functional building that was built by Karl Holey in 1930 and expanded in 1958 with an elevated component according to plans by the architect Karl Humpelstetter. The furnishings include an early baroque crucifix from the palace chapel , which is attributed to the sculptor, embosser and ivory carver Jörg Petel , who died in 1634 .

The district judge's house, built in 1732, is a single-storey pavilion-like building with a concave garden facade with an accentuated center and two rectangular portals with flat figure niches. In a niche there is a stone figure of the Greek sleep god Hypnos . The facade is structured by grooved plaster strips. Some of the rooms inside have flat barrel vaults and stitch caps.

The Salmhof is a former manorial farm, built in 1547 by Niklas Graf Salm the Younger west of Marchegg. After the wars in Sweden, a new building was built in 1629 by Paul Freiherr von Pálffy . The plant has been used as a spirit distillery since the 19th century. After severe war damage in 1944, operations were later resumed while retaining the core building. The two-storey building has a simple facade design from the last quarter of the 18th century. In the middle of the building is a two-armed arcade staircase from the 17th century with a central arched gate.

According to a document in 1268, the circular wall with originally three gates (Wienertor in the west, Ungartor in the east, Hainburgertor in the south) and the mighty city castle in the north-west corner has been largely preserved except for the northern part. With the exception of the Hainburgertor, which was razed in 1900, remains of the three square gateways are also preserved, with that of the Wienertor being partially reconstructed and that of the Hungarian gate with early Gothic seating niches and tracery windows. On the north and east sides, parts of the ring wall were included in the flood protection dam built in 1935.

Behind a small bridge with a stone parapet is a large gate with pilasters and a segmented arched gable, built in the middle of the 18th century. It is flanked by two gatekeeper houses of different sizes. The one on the left is a small building from the 18th century, the one on the right is an elongated single-storey building with a simple facade structure from the first half of the 18th century. Some of the rooms are equipped with barrel vaults and stitch caps. To the left of the gate is a late Baroque figure of Immaculata .

The parish church of Marchegg, designed in 1268 as a large three-aisled parish church, was only partially used after severe destruction in 1529 and 1634 until the second half of the 18th century and was rebuilt in a much smaller version in 1789/1790. The building is accessible through a pointed arch portal in the west tower. The tower has just as simple a late Baroque facade design as the nave. The oldest parts of the church are the high, remarkable choir from the third quarter of the 13th century and the essentially early Gothic sacristy south of the choir. The foundation walls of the earlier side aisles are still detectable.

The fortification (earth wall with palisades and small forts) was built in 1703/04 and operated until the end of the 18th century. The wall was supposed to support the imperial troops of the Habsburgs in the fight against the Kuruzzen - rural rebels from Hungary in the wake of the uprising of Franz II. Rákóczi (1704–1711) - and to block the access from Hungary to Vienna.
