Location of Lohsdorf in Hohnstein

Lohsdorf is a district of Hohnstein in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

geography

Lohsdorf is east of the Saxon state capital Dresden in the north of Saxon Switzerland . It is located in the northeast of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district. The Waldhufendorf , whose appearance is characterized by numerous farms and old cottages , is located in a side valley of the Schwarzbachtal. The corridor stretches in long strips (forest hooves) from the farmsteads behind the village stream 1.5 kilometers to the southwest. The Lohsdorf district of Sorge forms a row of houses that lean against the steep slope on the left bank of the Schwarzbach . In the upper reaches north of Lohsdorf, the Schwarzbachtal is gently sunk into the plateau and forms a meadow valley.

From the highest elevation of the corridor, the 414 meter high Gickelsberg south of the village, a view over large parts of Saxon Switzerland is possible. Above all, slopes in the southern and western outskirts of the Lohsdorf district are forested. The vast majority of the around 484 hectares of land is used for agriculture. Neighboring are the Hohnsteiner districts Ulbersdorf in the east, Goßdorf in the south, Waitzdorf in the southwest, Hohnstein in the west and Ehrenberg in the north. The next place in a north-easterly direction, separated by the Ehrenberger Flur Übersar, is Krumhermsdorf , a district of Neustadt in Saxony .

The most important road on Lohsdorfer Flur is the road An der Sorge, which runs as state road 165 in the Schwarzbachtal and connects Lohsdorf with Ulbersdorf and Ehrenberg. Niederdorfstrasse branches off from here and, together with Oberdorfstrasse, opens up the village center. There is also a direct road connection to Waitzdorf. Lohsdorf is connected to the regional bus network of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains (RVSOE) .
